WHAT TO EXPECT ON A SAFARI
Very few clients know how their Safari trip is put together. An African Hunting Safari will start from the day you make your choice on which African Hunting Safari Operator you choose. It will all come together by explaining your African Hunting Safari step by step.
1. After you had a conversation with your African Outfitter and you set your date and hunt you will pay a required deposit that the Outfitter needs from you.
2. As soon as you land in South Africa at O.R.TAMBO International Airport, you can be sure that one of ZA HUNTING SAFARIS' members will be waiting for you.
3. This is where your memorable trip of a lifetime will begin.
You will be helped by collecting your rifles at the permit office at the airport.
From here you will have a short 35 minute drive to your Guest house that is situated on the Northern side of the Magalies mountain range overlooking the Northern part of Pretoria.
4. The first night you be invited for a traditional meal or a good barbeque with your host. Having a good night rest will have you in good shape for your African Hunting Safari.
5.The following morning you will set out to get to the hunting area that you have chosen.
Things to remember:
- 3 Sets of light clothing in camouflage is recommended for hunting.
- Well-worn smooth soled hunting boots.
- Hunting cap/hat.
- Sock protectors if hunting in shorts.
- Warm pullover/jacket.
- Warm gloves.
- Rain suit.
- Sunglasses.
- Alarm clock.
- Set of plug adaptors /converter (our electricity is 220V).
- Flash light.
- Diary.
- Travellers should not bring excessive clothing as daily laundry services are available.
- Personal medication.
- Toiletries.
Firearm equipment:
- Rifle(s).
- 1 Rifle sling for every firearm.
- 1 Soft gun case per rifle.
- 40/50 Rounds ammunition per rifle (soft nose).
- 10 Rounds ammunition (solid).
- Ear protection.
- Binoculars with carry strap.
- Ammunition pouch and belt.
- Camera and spare batteries for camera.
