Members from all Bestmed’s medical options which include the Standard Hospital Plan (Beat 1) up to the most comprehensive plan (Pace 4) qualify for Nutritional Assessments with a Registered Wellness Service Provider.
The Tempo Wellness Programme consists of Two Categories
Family Nutrition program
One family assessment with the Dietician after a Health Risk Assessment was done at either Clicks or Dischem.
Individual Intervention Program
Three consultation sessions with the Dietician to each adult (older than 18 years) who did the Health Risk Assessment at a pharmacy.
Cost
The member is not liable for any consultation fees.
Consultations are funded from the Scheme’s Preventative Benefits and NOT from day-to-day benefits or the member’s savings account.
The main member, as well as beneficiaries older than 16 years, can qualify to participate in Bestmed’s Tempo Lifestyle program at no additional cost. The Tempo Program is available to all members, irrespective of your benefit option.
- First of all, the member must do their Tempo Lifestyle screening (TLS) at any Tempo pharmacy (Dischem, Clicks, van Heerden’s, Arrie Nel, The Local Choice),
- Once registered, you are eligible for two sessions with a dietician during the year.
